Ingredients

  • 2 c. soft bread crumbs
  • 1/2 lb. Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 2 eggs, separated
  • 1 1/3 c. milk, scalded
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. minced onion
  • 1 to 2 c. ground ham
  • 1 Tbsp. minced parsley

Directions

    Mix bread crumbs, cheese, beaten egg yolks, milk, 1 tablespoon butter and seasonings.

    Saute onion in remaining butter.

    Add to first mixture with ham and parsley and mix well.

    Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.

    Turn into buttered shallow baking dish. Bake at 325° for about 1 hour or until set.
