Ingredients

  • 3 lb. ground ham
  • 2 lb. fresh ground pork (not sausage)
  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 c. crushed saltine crackers
  • 1 tsp. salt (optional)
  • 1/4 to 1/2 c. milk
  • 4 eggs

Directions

    Mix all ingredients and form into a loaf.

    Place in deep baking dish or pan (9 x 12-inches).

    Bake at 325° for 1/2 hour.

    Pour off any excess grease.
  5. 5
    Add topping and bake 1 1/2 hours at 350°. Baste every 10 minutes for at least the last hour (very important).
