Ingredients

  • 1 c. fresh pork, ground
  • 1 c. cured ham, ground
  • 1 c. bread crumbs, crushed
  • 1 c. sweet milk
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 Tbsp. dry mustard
  • 1/2 c. vinegar
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar

Directions

    Mix first five ingredients in a large bowl.

    Place in a 9 x 5 x 3 loaf pan.

    In a sauce pan over medium high heat, mix remaining ingredients and cook until thick.

    Reserve 3/4 cup for table; pour remaining on top of ham loaf and bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 2 1/2 hours, basting with reserved sauce occasionally. Slice ham loaf.

    Re-warm reserved sauce and pour over ham loaf slices.

    Serve immediately.
