Ingredients
- 3 sprigs dill
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 sliced onions
- 25 to 30 medium to large cucumbers
- 1 pt. water
- 1 qt. 5% vinegar
- 2 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. pickling salt
Directions

1Wash and slice cucumbers 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick.

2Soak for 1 hour in ice water.

3Add ice cubes or crushed ice.

4Mix water, vinegar, sugar and salt; bring to boil.

5Pack cucumbers into clean, hot jars with 3 sprigs of dill, 2 garlic cloves and onion.

6Pour boiling hot pickling syrup over cucumbers, leaving 1/2 inch headspace.

7Wipe off jar mouth and seal.

8Process in boiling water bath canner for 15 minutes.

9(Count processing time as soon as hot jars are placed into actively boiling water.)
