Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground chuck beef
- 2 Tbsp. butter, oil or margarine
- 3 small onions, chopped
- 1 1/2 c. celery, chopped
- 1/2 c. brown rice
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 1/2 c. warm water
- 1 c. Chinese chow mein noodles
Directions

1Cook meat until soft and crumbly.

2Add onions and celery to meat.

3Add pepper and soy sauce, mix well.

4Add soups, water and rice, mix well and stir into casserole and cover.

5In 350° oven, bake 1/2 hour, stir and continue to bake another 1/2 hour.

6Remove and top with noodles.

7Bake, uncovered, 15 minutes more.

8Serves 8.

9(Is more flavorful if made the day before then reheated before serving.)
