  • 1 (9-inch) pie shell, partially cooked
  • 1 lb. ground chuck
  • 1/2 c. minced onion
  • 1 c. shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c. whipping cream
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • dash white pepper

Directions

    Brown meat with onion. Drain. Reserve small amount of meat. Pour in shell.

    Sprinkle with cheese.

    Beat eggs and add cream and seasonings.

    Pour over meat and cheese.

    Bake 15 minutes at 425°.

    Reduce heat to 300° and bake 30 minutes more.

    Top with reserved meat and cook 5 minutes more.

    Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
