- 1/4 lb. ground beef
- 1/4 c. canned tomatoes
- 1 small carrot, diced
- 1/2 stalk celery, diced
- 1/2 small onion, chopped
- 1/4 c. pearl barley
- 1 small potato, cubed
- 1 1/2 c. water
- salt and pepper
Directions

1Brown the ground beef over medium heat; drain off excess fat. Add carrots, celery, onion, barley, potatoes and water, salt and pepper to taste.

2Simmer for about 1 hour until the barley is tender.
