- 3/4 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Sift flour; cut in shortening and add milk slowly, stirring until dough is soft and moist.

2Knead lightly.

3May be patted out 1/2 inch thick and cut with a cutter or pinch off balls of dough and roll in hand; flatten as you place in pan.

4Bake at 450° for 15 to 20 minutes or until light golden brown.
