- 3 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. Karo light corn syrup
- 1 c. water
- 1 tsp. Lorann flavoring oil
- powder sugar
- desired food coloring
Directions

1Sprinkle 18x24 inch strip of heavy duty aluminum foil with powered sugar. Mix sugar, corn syrup, water in large heavy saucepan.

2Stir over medium heat until sugar dissolves.

3Boil, without stirring, until temperature reaches 310°F, or until drops of syrup forms a hard and brittle threads in cold water.

4Remove from heat.

5Stir in flavoring oil and coloring.

6Pour onto foil, cool, break into pieces.

7Store in airtight containers.

8With the different flavoring you get a different color of candy. Peppermint - pink, Cinnamon - red, Spearmint - green, Lemon - yellow, Wintergreen - Pale green, Orange - orange, Butter - light yellow, Cherry - red, Raspberry - blue red, Chocolate - brown, Butter Rum - yellow brown, Grape - purple, Lime - yellow green.
