Ingredients

  • 2/3 c. syrup
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. hot water
  • 1/2 to 1 tsp. flavoring (depending on flavor)
  • coloring (however much you want)
  • powdered sugar

Directions

    Heat first 3 ingredients.

    Add coloring at 250°.
  3. 3
    Continue cooking to 300°.
  4. 4
    Add flavoring after boiling to 300° and turn off heat.
  5. 5
    Pour onto a buttered cookie sheet.
  6. 6
    Slice into strips and quickly cut with scissors into small pieces.
  7. 7
    Place small pieces in powdered sugar as you cut them.
