- 1 c. self-rising flour
- 1 large Tbsp. softened lard
- 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 1/2 c. margarine, softened
Directions

1Mix flour, buttermilk and lard with a spoon.

2Knead very, very lightly.

3Pat dough out (do not roll) until about 1-inch thick. Cut out biscuits.

4Brush with melted margarine.

5Put on bottom rack of preheated 400° oven.

6Take out when brown on bottom (about 15 to 20 minutes).

7Butter again.
-
8Put on top rack and broil for just a few minutes.

9Watch carefully as they will burn.
