- 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 lb. cod fillet
- salt and pepper
- 1 onion
- 1 red or green bell pepper
- 2 to 3 tomatoes
- 1 to 2 c. mushrooms
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 2 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 Tbsp. chopped parsley
- pinch of nutmeg
- 1 Tbsp. ketchup
- 1 c. frozen peas
Directions

1Skin and cut the fish into fairly large pieces, then salt and pepper to taste.

2Peel and slice the onion; remove the top and seeds of pepper and cut into thin strips.

3Slice the tomatoes thickly; rinse, wipe and slice the mushrooms.

4Put the pieces of fish and the prepared vegetables into a deep oven-proof casserole.
