  • 2 1/2 c. diced beets
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/2 c. vinegar
  • 3 Tbsp. oleo
  • 4 tsp. cornstarch

    Bring all to boil, except cornstarch.

    Thicken with the cornstarch, blended with cold water.

    Add to beets; simmer for 10 minutes.
