- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1/4 c. water
- 1/2 c. vinegar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. butter
Directions

1Rinse beans; add them to boiling water and boil in a covered pan for 3 minutes.

2Let stand 2 hours.

3Pour off the water; add new water at room temperature to just cover the beans.

4After 2 hours, pour this water off.

5Add more water and let soak overnight.

6Rinse again in room temperature water (researchers say 5 times, but

8Then add water to cover and cook until done, about 75 to 90 minutes.
