  • 12 small beets, cut in cubes
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 1/4 c. vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine

Directions

    Mix sugar and cornstarch.

    Add vinegar, water and butter. Pour over beets and simmer slowly for 30 to 40 minutes.
