  • 2 c. cooked beets (canned)
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. flour or cornstarch
  • 1/3 c. vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. butter
  • pepper to taste
  • liquid from beets

Directions

    Mix sugar and flour; add vinegar and beet juice.

    Cook until thickened.

    Add salt and butter and add to beets and heat.
