- 1/3 c. brown sugar
- 2 1/2 c. beets
- 1/4 c. vinegar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- pepper
- 1/8 tsp. cloves, ground
Directions

1Melt butter; add flour and blend.

2Add beet liquid and cook until thickened, stirring constantly.

3Add brown sugar, vinegar, salt, pepper and cloves.
