- 3 c. beets, sliced
- 1/2 c. cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 whole cloves
- 1/2 c. cider vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 Tbsp. orange marmalade
Directions

1In double boiler mix sugar, cornstarch, salt, cloves and vinegar.

2Stir until smooth.

3Cook and stir until clear.

4Add beets and leave over hot water about 30 minutes.

5Just before serving, heat, but do not boil.

6Add butter and marmalade.
