- 2 lb. frozen hash browns
- 1 1/2 sticks melted butter (oleo)
- 1 c. chopped onion (optional)
- 8 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1 tsp. salt
- garlic salt to taste
- 2 cans cream of chicken soup (undiluted)
- 1 pt. sour cream
- 2 c. crushed corn flakes or crumbs
Directions

1Mix melted butter and corn flake crumbs.

2Mix together all ingredients, except 3/4 of melted butter and crumbs.

3Put in a 9 x 13-inch pan.

4Put 3/4 butter/crumb mixture on top.

5Bake at 350° for 1 1/4 hours.

6May be prepared 24 hours ahead and refrigerated.
