Hashbrown Casserole

  • 2 pounds Frozen Hashbrowns
  • 1 can (10 Oz. Size) Cream Of Chicken Soup
  • 8 ounces, weight Sour Cream
  • 1/2 cups Chopped Onion (i Love Green Onion)
  • 2 cups Grated Sharp Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 stick Butter
  • 1 whole Sleeve Of Ritz Crackers, Crumbled

Directions

    1) Spread frozen hash browns in the bottom of a 9 X 13 pan.

    2) Mix soup, sour cream and onions.

    Spread this over the potatoes.

    3) Sprinkle cheese on top of soup mixture.

    4) Melt butter and mix with the crackers.

    Sprinkle this over the top of the cheese.

    5) Bake at 350 degrees (F) for one hour.

    This was given to me verbatim from Granny however I have found depending on pan size sometimes I only need 1 pound (1 bag) of hash browns.

    Also, I mostly use the shredded variety of hash browns I do not know if the same could apply to the cubed (also known as Southern style) variety.

    Either way it is VERY tasty.
