Ingredients

  • 1 yeast cake, dissolved in 1/4 c. warm water
  • 1 1/4 c. warm milk
  • 1 sq. or 1/2 c. melted margarine
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 4 to 5 c. flour to make soft dough

Directions

    Mix everything together except 2 cups of the flour.

    Let stand 20 minutes in warm place.

    Add rest of flour and let rise until doubled in bulk, about 1 hour.

    Roll dough out on a lightly floured board.

    Cut in rounds; dip in butter and fold over.

    Bake at 375° for 15 to 20 minutes until lightly brown.
