Hawaiian Rice

  • 2 c. long grain white rice (uncooked)
  • 2 cans Campbell's consomme soup, plus 2 c. water
  • 1 large brown onion, chopped
  • 1 large bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 cubes butter

Directions

    In a large electric skillet, melt butter.

    Saute onion and bell pepper until tender, but firm.

    Add the consomme soup (mixed with 2 cups water) and the white rice.

    Bake at 350° for 1 hour, stirring every so often to avoid sticking.

    It may be necessary to reduce heat.

    (May also be placed in a large Pyrex bowl, after bell pepper and onion are sauteed, with all ingredients.)
