- 1 1/4 cups flour, all-purpose
- 1/4 cup hazelnuts (filberts) toasted, finely ground
- 1 pinch salt
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 each eggs
- 113 cups milk, skim or buttermilk
- 1/4 cup applesauce
- 1 medium apples, granny smith peel, dice
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions

1NOTE: To toast hazelnutes bake on sheetpan until golden brown and hull starts to break off.

2Rub hull to remove.

3Grind to nice fine meal.

4In bowl put flour, hazelnuts, baking powder, baking soda, applesauce, egg beaters, nonfat milk, and vanilla.

5Stir until it comes together.

6Add apple or any fruit you prefer.

7You can make any size you want.

8When top bubbles flip them over.
