- 1/2 cup plus 6 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 cup roasted ground hazelnuts
- 2 cups flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate morsels, melted and cooled
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees

2Prepare 2 cookie sheets.

3Beat the butter and sugar until light and creamy.

4Add the hazelnuts.

5Sift the flour and salt together and beat it into the butter-and-nut mixture.

6Add the melted chocolate.

7Chill the dough for at least 2 hours.

8Dust your hands with flour and break off 1-inch pieces of dough and roll them into balls.

9Roll these into ropes and pinch the ends of the ropes together to form small circles.

10Bake for 20 minutes.

11Cool on a cookie rack and store in an airtight container, preferably in the refrigerator.
