  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 5 tsp. cocoa
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 c. self-rising flour
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk

Directions

    Put first 4 ingredients in saucepan and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and hold.

    Mix remaining 4 ingredients together in large bowl; hold.

    Combine the 2 mixtures with mixer (batter will be very thin).

    Pour into greased 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Bake for 30 minutes at 350°.
