Ingredients
- 2 pkg. active dry yeast
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 2 3/4 c. boiling water
- 3/4 c. molasses
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- 1 c. raisins
- 1 c. wheat germ
- 1 c. quick cooking oats
- 1 c. bran
- 3 c. whole wheat flour
- 4 3/4 to 5 c. sifted unbleached white flour
Directions

1Soften yeast in warm water.

2Combine boiling water, molasses, salt, oil, raisins, wheat germ, oats and bran; cool.

3Add softened yeast.

4Stir in whole wheat flour and 2 cups white flour. Gradually add enough flour to make a soft dough.

5Knead until smooth.

6Place in a greased bowl.

7Cover and let rise in warm place until double in bulk (about 1 hour).

8Punch down; divide in half.

9Shape into loaves.

10Place in greased loaf pans.

11Let rise about 1 hour.

12Bake about 35 to 40 minutes at 350°.
