- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup sugar white
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 2 tablespoons shortening Melted
- 2 cups sour milk
- 1 cup raisins
Directions

1Sift the first five ingredients together. Add the oats, molasses, melted shortening and milk. Mix thoroughly and add the raisins. Pour into a large greased loaf pan. Let it set for 20 minutes then bake about 1 hour at 350F.

2Note: The rolled oats may be ground with a rolling pin or in the meat grinder.
