- 1 lb. butter
- 1 box dark brown sugar
- 1 pkg. chocolate chips
- chopped pecans
Directions

1Melt the butter with the dark brown sugar in 3-quart pot.

2Cook until it reaches hard crack stage (put on medium heat and stir with wooden spoon so it won't burn).

3Use a candy thermometer, hard crack is 300°.

4Butter cookie sheet and pour the mixture onto the sheet.

5Sprinkle with chocolate chips and spread chips with wooden spoon when they start to melt.

6Sprinkle with chopped pecans immediately.

7After 1 hour, crack into small pieces.
