- 1 pkg. yeast (softened in 1/4 c. warm water)
- 5 c. flour
- 5 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 3/4 c. margarine
- 2 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Sift together dry ingredients, cut in shortening.

2Stir in buttermilk and yeast.

3Turn out on floured board and knead.

4Leave dough in refrigerator and take out as much as needed.

5Roll about 1/2-inch thick and cut into biscuits.

6Bake at 425° until brown (about 12 to 15 minutes).
