- 1 1/2 c. scalded milk, cooled
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 3/4 c. very warm water
- 1/2 c. oil
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- 5 1/2 to 6 c. flour
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add to cooled milk.

2Add all other ingredients, beating in flour, a cup or two at a time, until it sticks together.

3Shape into round ball and cover.

4Let rise twice its size, about 30 minutes.

5Pour out onto floured surface and knead 3 to 4 times.

6Roll out and cut with glass.

7Dip into oil (in pan), fold in half, lining them close together.

8Cook at 425° for 12 to 15 minutes.
