- 1 1/2 c. milk, scalded
- 4 Tbsp. sugar
- 4 Tbsp. butter
- 3 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 2 tsp. sage
- 4 tsp. caraway seed
- 1 Tbsp. poppy seed
- 1 Tbsp. dried onion
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 2 eggs
- 6 to 7 c. flour
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water.

2Mix first 9 ingredients together, then add yeast; add eggs and gradually add flour.

3Knead until smooth and let rise until doubled.

4Punch down and divide into 2 loaf pans.

5Let rise and then bake at 350° for about 30 minutes.
