- 1 loaf long French bread
- 1/2 c. soft margarine or butter
- 1/2 tsp. paprika
- 1 1/2 tsp. snipped fresh rosemary or 1/2 tsp. dry rosemary leaves
- 3/4 tsp. snipped fresh thyme or 1/4 tsp. dry thyme leaves
- 3/4 tsp. snipped fresh marjoram or 1/4 tsp. dry marjoram
Directions

1Preheat oven to 400°.

2At 1-inch intervals, make diagonal cuts in bread; do not cut through bottom.

3In small bowl, combine remaining ingredients until well blended.

4Spread mixture between slices and over top.

5Wrap bread completely in foil.

6Bake 20 minutes until spread is melted and bread is hot and crusty.

7Makes about 8 servings.
