Ingredients
- 3 12 cups flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon basil
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 12 teaspoon garlic powder
- 34 ounce fast rise yeast (1 package, I like Red Star Quick Rise)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup hot water (not boiling, but hot)
Directions

1Set aside 1 cup of flour (for dusting).

2Mix all of the dry ingredients except for the flour in the first step.

3Melt the butter in the water in a separate bowl.

4Mix the dry and wet ingredients together by hand with a wooden spoon.

5Knead dough on counter for 5 minutes.

6Let rest in greased pan for 10-20 to rise.

7Put it in a warm place (On top of the pre-heated oven works great) and make sure to put a damp paper towel over everything while its rising.

8Roll out on the counter and roll up like a jelly roll.

9I like to brush a little bit of melted butter over everything before I roll it, but thats optional.

10Let rest in greased pan for another 30-49 minutes.

11Bake at 400 degrees for 25-30 minutes.

12Stab with a wooden skewer through the middle to check if its done- when you pull the skewer out and its clean, the bread is done.

13If there is still some dough-goo on it, let the bread bake for a few more minutes.

14You can add more of the herbs or switch them entirely; this recipe is very flexible and great to experiment with.

15This also makes AMAZING pizza dough!

16You can also use this recipe to make great homemade cinnamon rolls!

17All you have it do is this:.

18Use the same ingredients except for the oregano, basil, and garlic.

19Put in a little bit of cinnamon (to taste) and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla.

20When you get to step 7, slather on lots of butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon (all to your preference).

21Roll it all up and slice.
-
22Melt more butter and cinnamon in the baking pan and put the slices in whatever pan you prefer.

23Bake for 15 minutes Make an easy vanilla glaze to put on top.

24Obviously this is not a healthy recipe....

26You can put in as much butter, brown sugar, etc as you like, its a very flexible recipe.
