  • 1 chicken
  • 1 tsp. crushed sage
  • 1 tsp. crushed rosemary
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 or 3 cloves garlic
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper
  • 1 rib celery

Directions

    Wash chicken (I skin the chicken).

    The chicken can be left whole or cut into pieces.
  3. 3
    Sprinkle with desired amount of salt and pepper.
  4. 4
    Put oil and butter over chicken.
  5. 5
    Put cut garlic and the herbs on top.
  6. 6
    Cook in oven or on top of stove (the whole chicken is cooked in the oven at 325° until browned).

    Baste once in a while.
