- 2 lbs boiling onions, peeled (or pearl onions)
- water
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 6 tablespoons brown sugar
- 14 teaspoon dried rosemary
Directions

1Add onions to boiling salted water.

2Cook for 10 minutes, or until almost tender.

3Drain.

4Slowly melt butter along with brown sugar in a large heavy frying pan.

5Cook over low heat, stirring to mix.

6Add onions.

7Cook until onions are tender and almost all the syrup clings to them, about 15 minutes.

8Sprinkle in rosemary.
