Ingredients

  • 1 c. long grain rice (uncooked)
  • 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can consomme soup or use own beef or chicken soup
  • 1 1/4 c. water
  • 1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
  • 1/2 tsp. each: marjoram, savory and rosemary
  • 1/4 c. slivered almonds (optional)
  • 4 Tbsp. margarine

Directions

    Mix all ingredients, except margarine, in a greased casserole. Top with margarine, cover and bake at 350° for 50 to 60 minutes. Stir when half done.

    Do not overcook, will be too dry.
