  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 2 c. milk, scalded
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 7 to 7 1/2 c. flour, divided
  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1/2 c. warm water
  • 2 Tbsp. plus 2 tsp. dried dill
  • 1 egg, beaten slightly
  • 2 Tbsp. oleo

    Dissolve yeast in warm water.

    Melt 1/2 cup oleo.

    Add sugar, salt, milk, 6 1/2 cups flour and yeast.

    Stir until mixture forms ball.

    Turn out on a well floured surface and knead, adding more flour if needed.

    Place in greased bowl.

    Let rise until double bulk.

    Roll out.

    Melt 2 tablespoons oleo and brush top.

    Sprinkle with dill.

    Roll up jelly roll, cut in 1 inch pieces.

    Put in muffin tins.

    Let raise 15 minutes.

    Brush rolls with beaten egg. Bake 20 minutes at 400°.
