Herby Ham Roll Canapes

  • 4 slices white bread
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp dried mixed herbs
  • 1/2 tsp dried parsley
  • 4 None lettuce leaves
  • 4 None slices smoked ham
  • 5 tbsp heavy cream
  • 1 tsp grated horseradish
  • None None Parsley and pink peppercorns, to garnish

Directions

    Use a cookie cutter to cut heart shapes out of the bread. Melt the butter in a frying pan and add the mixed herbs and dried parsley. Fry the bread hearts for 2-3 mins on each side until golden.

    Lay a piece of lettuce on top of each piece of ham and roll up. Slice the rolls into smaller pieces. Secure using skewers.

    Whip the cream until stiff and mix with the horseradish. Transfer the mixture to a piping bag with a small, star-shaped tip and pipe a rosette onto each bread hart. Add the ham roll and serve garnished with parsley and pink peppercorns.
