- 2 1/2 c. plain flour
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 c. Crisco
- 3/4 c. Hershey's syrup
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
- 7 plain Hershey bars
- 4 eggs
Directions

1Melt Hershey bars and syrup in top of double boiler.

2Sift flour, salt, soda; cream Crisco and sugar.

3Add dry ingredients and milk slowly.

4Mix well.

5Add vanilla, chocolate and eggs, one at a time.

6Pour into a greased and floured tube pan.

7Bake for 1 hour and 10 minutes at 325°.

8Start in cold oven.

9Cool and spread chocolate frosting on cake.
