Hershey Chocolate Pound Cake

  • 2 1/2 c. plain flour
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1 c. Crisco
  • 3/4 c. Hershey's syrup
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla
  • 7 plain Hershey bars
  • 4 eggs

Directions

    Melt Hershey bars and syrup in top of double boiler.

    Sift flour, salt, soda; cream Crisco and sugar.

    Add dry ingredients and milk slowly.

    Mix well.

    Add vanilla, chocolate and eggs, one at a time.

    Pour into a greased and floured tube pan.

    Bake for 1 hour and 10 minutes at 325°.

    Start in cold oven.

    Cool and spread chocolate frosting on cake.
