*Hershey Pound Cake

  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. margarine
  • 1 c. buttermilk with 1/4 tsp. soda dissolved in it
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 giant Hershey bar (8 oz.), which has been melted over hot water
  • 1 c. chopped pecans

    Sift together flour and sugar.

    Add margarine and buttermilk with soda.

    Beat for 2 minutes.

    Add vanilla, eggs and melted chocolate.

    Beat 1 minute.

    Add pecans.

    Bake 1 1/2 hours in a tube pan at 325°.

    Cool 10 minutes and remove from pan.
