Hershey'S Fudge

Ingredients

  • 4 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 large can Pet milk
  • 1 small pkg. Hershey's chocolate chips
  • 1 large pkg. Hershey's chocolate chips
  • 2 sticks butter or margarine
  • 4 Tbsp. vanilla flavoring
  • 1 1/2 c. broken pecan pieces (optional)

Directions

    In large saucepan, dissolve sugar and milk, bring to a boil and boil exactly six minutes.

    Stir and watch to prevent scorching. (Never boil less than six minutes.
  3. 3
    A minute more won't hurt.) Have ready in a large bowl the chocolate chips, butter and vanilla flavoring (cut sticks of butter in small pieces).

    Pour mixture over chocolate chips, butter and vanilla and beat until smooth and creamy.

    (The more beating, the better the fudge.)

    Add pecans, if desired.

    Pour into greased 9 x 13-inch pan or glass dish.

    Cool before slicing.
