- 1 cube butter
- 3 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. kjortonsalt (Scandinavian store)
- about 2 lb. shortening (for frying)
Directions

1Beat sugar and egg well.

2Melt butter and cool.

3Add sifted flour and hjortonsalt and add to mixture.

4Let stand in refrigerator overnight.

5Roll dough in long sticks the thickness of your finger.

6Cut and make circles with the ends crossing each other.

7Fry as doughnuts.
