- 1/2 c. light corn syrup
- 1 c. coarsely chopped nuts
- 1/4 c. minced preserved ginger (optional)
- 1/2 c. water
- 2 egg whites
- 1/4 c. chopped candied cherries
Directions

1In heavy medium saucepan, over low heat, cook and stir sugar, water and corn syrup until sugar dissolves.

2Increase heat to medium.

3Cook, without stirring, until a candy thermometer registers 268° (hard ball stage) or until small amount dropped into very cold water forms a ball.
