  • 1 1/2 c. shortening
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c. honey
  • 4 c. sifted flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. soda
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • sugar

Directions

    Cream shortening and 2 cups sugar in a bowl until smooth. Beat in eggs and honey.

    Add dry ingredients and vanilla, mixing well.

    Shape into 1-inch balls.

    Roll in sugar.

    Place 2 inches apart on baking sheet.

    Bake at 375° for 10 to 12 minutes, or until lightly browned.
