- about 4 c. water (enough to cover 4 c. nuts)
- 4 c. whole nuts (walnuts, almonds, filberts, pecans or any or mixture of all)
- 1/2 c. sugar
Directions

1Bring water to boil in medium kettle.

2Add nuts and boil 1 minute.

3Drain and return to kettle.

4Add sugar.

5Stir until well coated.

6Heat enough oil in large frying pan to cover about 1/2-inch.

7When hot, add nuts and fry until all steam has stopped, stirring constantly.

8Spoon nuts on absorbent paper towels or newspaper.

9Sprinkle with salt.

10Cool completely.
