- 1 pkg. (6 oz.) sweet chocolate bits
- 3 Tbsp. light corn syrup (Karo white)
- 1/2 c. rum or other whiskey (bourbon)
- 1 pkg. (12 oz.) crushed vanilla wafers
- 1/2 c. confectioners sugar
- 1 c. finely chopped nuts

Directions

1Melt chocolate bits in double boiler over hot water.

2Remove from heat.

3Stir in corn syrup and whiskey.

4Combine wafer crumbs, sugar and chopped nuts.

5Add to chocolate mixture.

6Mix well and let stand 30 minutes.

7Form into 1-inch balls and roll in granulated or confectioners sugar.

8Place in covered container and let ripen for several days.
