- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/2 c. boiling water
- 2 Tbsp. cold water
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
- 4 egg whites
- 8 Tbsp. sugar
Directions

1Cook cornstarch, boiling water, cold water and lemon juice; set aside.

2Beat egg whites until stiff, but not dry.

3Beat in sugar 1 tablespoon at a time.

4Beat until well mixed.

5Beat in cornstarch mixture.

6Put on pie filling, making sure meringue covers pie well into pastry.

7Bake at 375° until golden brown.

8Will not fail or pull away from sides of crust.
