  • 2 c. White Lily self-rising flour
  • 1 Tbsp. Crisco
  • 2 tsp. butter
  • milk or buttermilk

    Chop Crisco into flour.

    Same with butter if not using buttermilk.

    Pour in milk a little at a time.

    Mix until it forms into a dough ball (not stiff).

    Pat out into flour.

    Cut out biscuits.

    Bake at 425° until golden brown, about 22 to 25 minutes, on a buttered cookie sheet.
