- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1/4 c. shortening
- butter (optional)
Directions

1Combine all ingredients; mix well with a fork.

2Roll out dough using rolling pin on floured cutting board.

3Cut out biscuits. Place in a well-greased pan.

4Bake at 425° for 20 minutes or until brown.

5Spread butter on top while hot.

6Pop open while hot and stuff with butter, jelly or gravy of your choice.
