  • 2 1/2 c. plain flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 3 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 2 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. hot water

    Mix sugar, oil and eggs.

    Add flour, salt, baking powder and buttermilk.

    Beat well.

    In small bowl, mix cocoa, soda, vanilla and hot water.

    Add to first mixture.

    This will seem to be thin, but it isn't.

    Bake in 3 layers.

    Frost with fudge frosting.
